Assistant Minister for Social and Disability Services Compass Farm Tour

On Wednesday the 5th of April, Andrew Wallace, Ted O’Brien and Jane Prentice, the Assistant Minister for Social and Disability Services enjoyed a tour of the farm. Special thanks to the Compass farm team for making the grounds so beautiful and Austin and Tohbias for coming in on their Holidays to greet the Assistant Minister. They then went to the Compass Connections Cafe for a lovely lunch, special thanks to Glen and the cafe team for making the cafe look beautiful and working hard as always

New Compass Assistance dog – Amour

CAD is introducing Amour – he is a rescue dog from SCARS who is currently being assessed with the view to him joining the scheme. At CAD we are dedicated to giving rescue dogs a second chance. As you can see he is a relaxed boy who is taking everything in his (big) stride, we will keep you informed on his progress.

Compass Institute hosts annual night of nights

The Compass Institute Awards Night.
 EACH year, The Compass Institute disability service holds an awards night for families, staff and supporters of the Sunshine Coast organisation.

The night showcases the achievement of the Compass trainees, allowing them to dress up, attend a fancy gala and receive awards and trophies for their immense effort throughout the year.

What’s more, they even get to dance the night away with all of their friends.

This event offers a chance to celebrate achievements from the year to for Compass, which has more than 100 trainees and 45 staff, to show its appreciation to those who attend and support the organisation.

Awards night 

On Saturday 26th of November Compass had held its 8th Annual Awards Night and this year’s theme was “Kings and Queens ”.
A special thank you must go to Heritage Bank Palmwoods for their ongoing support and their generous contribution to the night and huge thank you to The Sebel Pelican Waters Golf Resort & Spa for their continued support and accommodating everyone’s request. It was a fantastic night and it was a great pleasure to see everyone having a lot of fun.
