Real like skills in a gourmet kitchen!
The Harvest Kitchen, located on the Compass Farm, has production full steam ahead! Run by Compass trainer’s Tina and Kylie and a rotation of Palmwoods and farm trainees, the commercial style kitchen is in the process of making the lovely chutneys, jams and a range of condiments that you all know so well.
These items are available for purchase up in our Wabi Sabi shop located at 3/2 Main Street, Palmwoods. There are many other wonderful gift ideas available. You’ll have to visit and stock up on your favourites… while they last!
The Harvest Kitchen is also thinking of providing catering options in the future. Stay tuned for more information.
The Agricultural Show at Nambour this year saw the Farm Harvest Kitchen Team enter some of our Jams and Chutneys and win First Prize.
We were lucky enough to take out First Prize in the ‘One Jar of Any Variety Chutney/Pickle’ Category.
The Sweet Fruit Chutney which took out first prize is a recent addition to the variety of Jams and Chutneys that we make in the kitchen on a daily basis. It’s absolutely delicious served on a cheese board, and can be the perfect addition to a cheese and tomato sandwich. The Sweet Fruit Chutney is a blend of onion, tomato, and apple, along with dried fruits such as apricots, dates and sultanas. It’s gets a real punch of flavor from the vinegar, mixed spices and ginger.
It’s safe to say that this Chutney will be a permanent addition to the Harvest Kitchen range.
It’s wonderful for everyone who works in the Harvest Kitchen to get this recognition and accolade for all their hard work.
